The 1st Kick-off Meeting of EntrePubl was successfully held on October 2022

On October 6-7, 2022, the 1st Kick-off Meeting of the EntrePubl European project took place in the city of Namur, Belgium. 18 participants from 6 European countries set common goals on how they can change the way public organizations design training programs and innovate using entrepreneurial thinking through the project’s implementation.

The meeting, which was hosted at the premises of the Wallonie emploi formation, was attended by representatives of all the partners of the project, specifically from Bantani Education (Project Coordinator), the Academy of Entrepreneurship, C.O. Gruppo, T-HAPSPW, ICEP, Galaţi Municipality of Romania and Govhack.

At the start of the meeting, Pierre Goffin, Project Manager at Wallonie emploi formation, welcomed the participants. Then, Gyoti Gupta, Project Manager at Bantani Education, coordinator of the project, addressed the main organizational issues regarding the initiation of the project and then gave the floor to the participants for recommendations.

During the two-day meeting and through group activities, those in charge, per work package, presented and discussed the action plans and implementation of the project’s objectives and the contribution of each partner. In addition to the organizational issues of the project, priority was given to the actions concerning the formation of the project methodology which follows the Entrecomp and Digcomp frameworks.

At the same time, emphasis was placed on the planning of joint actions of the partners per country, with the aim of mobilizing the training ecosystem in the public sector. It is expected that 60 trainers and 600 public employees from the 6 countries of the project (Belgium, Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Romania and Slovakia) will be trained through the pilot actions of the project.

Closing the meeting, the partners had an open discussion expressing their excitement about the collaboration of people with interdisciplinary backgrounds through the project. Participants highlighted their will to implement EntrePubl as a project with a real impact on the development of skills in the public sector .
