EntrePubl Recognised as a Social Innovation Match Case Study

The EntrePubl project has been selected as a SIM Case Study by the Social Innovation Match Tool (SIM)!

This recognition highlights EntrePubl as one of the most inspiring examples of social innovation in Europe, setting a benchmark for addressing the pressing needs of the public sector through entrepreneurial and digital upskilling.

Rethinking Public Sector Mindsets

EntrePubl is transforming how public sector employees approach their roles, challenges, and opportunities. Our mission is to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among public servants, empowering them to think creatively, collaborate effectively, and actively contribute to their organisations and communities.

Unlike conventional training programmes, our approach goes beyond technical skills. We focus on holistic transformation—blending entrepreneurial thinking, digital education, and real-world application. By tailoring learning paths to the needs of public employees across Europe, we ensure that professional development is accessible, flexible, and seamlessly integrated into their daily work.

We believe that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business; it is a critical competence that enhances problem-solving, creativity, and innovation in any workplace, including the public sector.

Creating Impact Across Europe

Our work has already made a significant difference:

  • 660 public servants and trainers have directly benefited from our programme.
  • A virtual community of practice connects professionals from six European countries, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • We have contributed to the development of a certification scheme for trainers, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.

Beyond the numbers, we have fostered a culture of innovation and inclusivity within the public sector, helping to break down siloed thinking, improve digital literacy, and encourage openness to change. Public employees in Belgium, Greece, Slovakia, Italy, Romania, and Cyprus are now better equipped with the tools and confidence to deliver modern, citizen-centred services that lead to higher efficiency and better outcomes.

Recognised as a Social Innovation Model

Our efforts have been recognised by the Social Innovation Match (SIM), a platform developed by the European Commission under the ESF Social Innovation+ initiative. This platform highlights groundbreaking social innovations across Europe, promoting their transfer and scalability.

Being featured as a SIM Case Study validates the effectiveness of our approach and positions us as a model for social innovation in the public sector. Our work demonstrates how a combination of entrepreneurial mindset development and digital upskilling can address systemic challenges and drive meaningful change.

Shaping the Future of Public Sector Innovation

We have laid a strong foundation for a more entrepreneurial and digitally skilled public sector, and the impact of our work continues to grow. The recognition as a SIM Case Study strengthens our legacy and reaffirms our commitment to pioneering public sector innovation.

By fostering collaboration between VET providers, public institutions, and policymakers, we are modernising public services and creating lasting value for citizens. We remain dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation and equipping public servants with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.

Together, we are shaping the future of the public sector:

one that is dynamic, forward-thinking, and citizen-focused.
